General Manager, Southeast Asia, ARC Advisory Group
Bob Gill is responsible for managing ARC Advisory Group’s business operations and market research activities in Southeast Asia. ARC provides technology research, advisory and consulting services to the world’s leading industrial automation and software suppliers as well as to prominent end-user companies in the manufacturing, infrastructure and energy sectors.
Bob’s work experience includes engineering roles at British Aerospace, General Electric Company, and the Singapore Institute of Manufacturing Technology (SIMTech). At GEC in the UK, he was project manager for a factory data collection system which included the successful implementation of the UK's first fieldbus network. In Singapore, he was a member of the SIMTech project team that developed the warehouse control system for Singapore Airlines' first fully automated cargo terminal (T6). The project received the Institute of Engineers Singapore (IES) Prestigious Engineering Award in 2003.
He graduated from the University of Wales (UK) with a BSc in Electronics and an MSc in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, and also holds an MBA from NTU in Singapore. As well as many articles for industry trade publications, he is a contributing author to books including Action Learning Cases in Organisational Behaviour, and Many Ships, One Boat: Expat Tales and Tips.
